HorsePucky
So I have this roomate that makes this really weird music
every day. I can't quite describe it, because I've become
accustomed to it always being in the background of whatever
I'm doing in the apartment. I don't even know if the guy
realizes that the equipment seems to be running all day
long. sometimes I'll see him come out of his room for a
glass of water or something, and I'll try to make conversation
with him but he never stays away from the electronics long
enough for me to know what the hell he's talking about.
One time he was fixing his bike and he started to tell me
a story about how he used to play drums in lots of different
kinds of bands, and how dealing with other musicians started
to really get frustrating and unfulfilling. I had heard
stories before about musicians being a flaky lot on the
whole, but never had I heard so many bad experiences from
one person. Anyway, he said that he just got fed up, bought
a sampler or something, and started recording music by himself
I was about to ask him if he'd ever perform live again,
but he got up and ran to his mixing board.

Recording on rodents retired equipment at the
pacific airport shuttle studio this new super
group is comprised of debris, shrapnel and slag
from some of SFs freakiest.
RocknRoll refugees from the Burners,Static Faction
and Burning Person come together to provide some
trippy music for the kids. Do you like reverb?
Do you? GOOD, because you're soaking in it! Spacey-Slacker-Stoner
tunes culminating in a faux international hippie
freakout out out out out out out!
Think of Ibiza 30 years ago! Give me"MORE"!!!!!!

Up With CHANTIGS is a must
have for the serious collector. An instant desert island
disc. The opening drum track of Raquel
(hey) pulls you in and 10 songs/40 minutes later
you hit repeat and smile knowing youÕll be spending lots
of time together. As you get to know each other better
you find yourself sticking your head between two speakers
to see if there really is a rusted jalopy track buried
somewhere deep inside Coldy o Coldy
. Later, on to more important questions, like the mystery
of Punchin up a Photo
from Tokyo; was it a Theramax plugged into old
marshall amplifier or was it Motorola GP350 two way radios
routed through Leslie cabinet that was creating the ghostly
high pitched vocal that seems to swim in and out between
choruses? You wonder how you fit a smallstone into a space
echo.
Fortunately with each successive listening more question
are raised than answered leaving you no choice but to
stop the madness by taking a beak from Up
with CHANTIGS and listening to the Mission
Faucet

The Burners
Heavy Wants to Eat Noisy and dreamy, A raw
masterpiece with enough guitar hooks ,fuzz bass and originality
youll be surprised to see how fast this CD takes
up permanent residency in your player. Extremely well
crafted songs with equally compelling lyrics.
Rodent Records fans have marveled at the production of
these 1996 recordings and have frequently requested the
Burners debut album be made available on vinyl. Trade
mark sounds of the banjo, mutron, and backwards tracking
fuse Dan and Aarons rickenbacker excursions to Pipers
backbeats and occasional stray tunings.

Natural Fonzie/SPOTO
This split CD features two colossal San Francisco bands,
SPOTO and self described rainbow rockers
NATURAL FONZIE. With a flip of a coin SPOTO won the rights
to kick off this rocking collaboration. After the breakup
of Field Trip, a long time favorite of college radio,Jim
Galbraith continued to write brilliant pop songs. His
band has more guitars and songs like Bicycle and
Two Tons of Fun could put him in the rock
and roll history. SPOTO leads of the record with 7 masterly
crafted originals.
The next seven tunes are from NATURAL FONZIE. Why is
this band so popular? Is it their immense stage presence?
Is it their unique song writing? Is it because they always
come from a different planet whether itÕs live on stage
or in your CD player?
Try strapping on the monumental version of Plastic
Museum or the pure pop pleasure of Lunch Room
and find the answer thousands fans already know. NATURAL
FONZIE RULES!
